Getting To Know Dave Moore

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Dave Moore is responsible for treasury, insurance, and tax functions.

Before working at DQE what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Worked for an institutional fixed-income asset manager leading up to the financial crisis of 2007-2009. Many of those portfolios were significantly invested in Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.

I enjoy teaching and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What advice do you have for prospective DQE candidates?

This is an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and growing industry. The GI Partners acquisition can accelerate additional growth for DQE Communications.

What are three career lessons you’ve learned thus far?

Always be positive, kind, and approachable.

Contributing to the successful transition of DQE Communications as a self-standing company.

Continued growth.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Read, draw, and cook.

What does true leadership mean to you?

The ability to motivate someone to do something they otherwise wouldn’t have done.

What drew you to DQE originally?

The specific job description tasks and the positive comments I’ve heard about the company.

What has been your favorite project so far at DQE?

Starting to build out the cash forecast and cash positioning files

Learning to execute sales & Use Tax payments

Communicating with DLC teams and third parties to review Treasury, Insurance, and Tax related items as they pertain to the sale, effective May 1, 2024.
