Getting to Know: Steven Smathers

As Provisioning Technician III, Steven Smathers is responsible for the turn-up and provision of services for new customers.

What drew you to DQE originally?

The hard-working and open environment and the opportunities to learn and grow drew me to DQE. The company seemed like the perfect fit for me.

What are you most excited about accomplishing in your role?

I am always excited to see a project through from start to finish. A great sense of fulfillment comes from working on customer solutions, starting from the design to the implementation.

What are your hopes for our industry?

My favorite part of the technology industry is that it is constantly evolving. I hope the industry maintains this path, as it cultivates a limitless amount of learning and growing opportunities.

What does true leadership mean to you?

A true leader excels in listening from an unbiased perspective, possessing the ability to direct and manage people while at the same time earning their respect.

What advice do you have for prospective DQE candidates?

Attitude is everything.
